Schneider Electric - TeSys Deca Advanced - The latest innovation in efficient and sustainable motor management
TeSys Deca Advanced is the latest generation of high-performance contactors with an electronic coil and a wide AC/DC control voltage range to reduce energy consumption during the product's lifetime. TeSys Deca Advanced offers best-in-class reliability and improved electrical performance for a longer service life, especially for heavy-duty applications or demanding conditions.
Introduction of TeSys Deca Advanced 115 - 150A
With the introduction of TeSys Deca Advanced 115 - 150A, this series of high-performance contactors is expanded with an additional rating that bridges the gap with the TeSys Giga 115 – 800A series. With this expansion, the TeSys Deca Advanced series offers electronically controlled contactors in the range from 9A AC3 to 150A AC3 and up to 200A AC1 for 3-pole and 4-pole versions.
The energy-efficient choice
TeSys Deca Advanced contactors consume less energy than traditional contactors because they use an electronic coil. Low-power electronic coil technology and a wide control voltage range can reduce energy consumption by up to 80% and reduce the ecological footprint by 69%. This innovation ensures operational continuity, even in the event of voltage fluctuations, and offers significant savings in energy and operating costs. This not only contributes to lower operating costs, but also supports sustainability goals by reducing the overall carbon footprint.
Simplicity in selection and inventory management
Direct control via a 24 V DC 500 mA PLC output eliminates the need for interface relays and simplifies control wiring. Wide-range electronic coils simplify switch selection and inventory, with up to 80% fewer part numbers. This allows customers to quickly and easily select the right switch, saving time and simplifying inventory management complexity. Finally, the three-layer placement of power and control terminal blocks on the contactor ensures full visibility and accessibility during installation, increasing productivity.
Compact and efficient footprint
The compact design reduces panel size by up to 20%, optimising space and simplifying integration. The control and auxiliary circuits are located in front of the main power supply. This space-saving design allows for greater flexibility in system layouts and improves operational efficiency.
Robust and reliable motor management
Reliability is at the heart of TeSys Deca Advanced. With best-in-class performance and electrical life, customers can rely on every connection and component to maximise uptime and operational continuity. EverLink connections™ on 40A to 150A ratings guarantee lifetime wiring quality, minimising the risk of faults and maintenance. TeSys Deca Advanced contactors are designed to withstand the most demanding environments, such as temperatures up to 70°C and humidity of 98%.
The ideal choice for HVAC systems and hoisting applications
Thanks to their innovative design that complies with the latest standards, TeSys Deca Advanced contactors are the ideal choice for HVAC applications and hoisting operations. TeSys Deca Advanced contactors are designed for harsh conditions, performing reliably at humidity levels up to 98% and temperatures up to 70°C, ensuring a high level of fire safety. TeSys Deca Advanced doubles the operating frequency of the coil to 2400 cycles per hour, making it easier to control the motor with shocks (AC-4) and reducing the risk of coil overheating. EverLinkTM terminals minimise maintenance requirements in the event of high shocks and vibrations. The streamlined design simplifies installation and operation in crane control panels.
Key technical features:

Avebe - A Good Night’s Sleep Thanks to FactoryScanRead moreCompanies often have no clear idea of the installed base of industrial automation in their factories and warehouses. With FactoryScan, itsme can provide an overview of the current status of automation components such as PLCs. Potato processor Royal Avebe uses the results to update their component stock and assess future availability. The scan is intended to reduce the number of hardware-related disruptions Process Control Engineer Johan Wierenga has to deal with. It also helps him sleep better, knowing the stock is up to date.
