Double security lock with RFID from ABB
Are you going for the highest level of security? Then meet MKey RFID: a security lock with double-locking function used to securely lock doors, gates and shutters.
MKey RFID is a security lock with an integrated RFID (radio frequency identification) sensor based on OSSD signals in addition to the standard mechanical key. This uses an electromagnetic field to trigger a response from the passive tag in the key. The keys for MKey RFID are individually coded using unique codes for the highest level of security. The head of MKey RFID is stainless steel, with the housing available in plastic, cast metal or stainless steel to meet different requirements. Multiple locks can be connected in series if OSSD signals are used to monitor the locking function.
Continuous operation
MKey features comprehensive LED indication and status information. This makes it easier to troubleshoot any problems and reduces downtime. A strong holding force of up to 3000 N ensures that the door remains closed. All models have a robust design. For added protection and resistance, models are available in stainless steel housing with IP67/IP69K with a temperature range of -25 to +40°C. This also makes MKey suitable for F&B applications. The stainless steel models are also resistant to rinsing with detergents.
Safety and protection
MKey combines locking with a security lock in one product. The dual locking (mechanical and RFID) makes it easy to achieve the highest level of security for the locking function according to EN ISO 13849 and ISO 62061: PLe / SIL3. If a fault exclusion for the mechanical break can be made, the locking function also achieves the highest safety level. This is most easily achieved with the handle accessories.
Versatile installation options
MKey is easy and quick to install. Both the latch and the safety lock are in the same housing. As a result, only one product needs to be installed. In addition, MKey's head can be rotated into four different positions. The keys can be placed both on the side and on the top of the head, resulting in eight different mounting positions. For mounting on doors, various accessories are available such as, sliding door fitting, swing door fitting, escape release and integrated push button housing. When M12 connector is used, installation time is minimised and replacement is easy so that downtime is avoided.
